Catching Up
I have so much to catch up on. Please forgive me for all the pictures. So much has been happening that my blog has “gone to the dogs” so to speak.
Spring is the time of birthdays for my oldest 4. My oldest daughter, Ella, turned 10 at the end of March. I can hardly believe I have a 10 year old! She’s so inquisitive and creative. She amazes me with what she comes up with in her art and her words.

My youngest daughter, Wendy, turned 4 at the beginning of April. She’s quite the spirited child. She’s feisty and sweet all at the same time.

Ella, Aurora, and Lightning were involved in our Stake’s Road Show this year. Ella chose to be a cow. Aurora and Lightning both chose to be chickens. They had a ball and did very well both nights. I had the privilege of driving them around to the different locations on Thursday night. Then on Friday all the road shows were done in one building so each Road Show cast could watch the others. It made for a long night, but the kids were willing to wait so they could eat the cake at the party after it was all over.

Daring to put a pic of me up here!
My son, Lightning, turned 6 at the end of May. He’s all boy! He loves to climb, jump, ride his bike, play ball, etc… He’s so energetic, and yet he’s such a sweet helpful boy. He jumps at the chance to help. We took our family to see Disney Pixar’s movie Up for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. A couple of days later we had an extended family party for him.

Lightning received lots of baseball stuff: balls, bats, glove, and tee-ball stand.

He was so excited to get a Woody doll for his birthday!

Lightning and my mom.
Aurora, my now 8 year old, chose to be baptized on her 8th birthday. The night before, we had a fun girls night with a few of her best friends and their moms. We had a ball eating finger foods, cleansing our faces, doing each others’ hair, and painting our nails. To complete the night she opened presents, and we all watched the movie The Princess Diaries II together.

Aurora’s baptism day was a beautiful, sunny, and spirit-filled day! She was beautiful and glowing the whole day. I’m so proud of her for deciding to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We’re so grateful for all the family and friends that came to support her.
