I want to be like her!

This is one of my best friends, Emily. She’s talented, beautiful, and a wonderful friend. I just had to share this beautiful dress that she made several years ago. I’ve been looking into making my own Renaissance Dress for the Knights of Freedom Summit. I love hers, but I don’t want to copy it. Okay, I probably couldn’t copy it on my own anyway. I’m not that talented in the sewing arena…yet. I don’t think she had a pattern or anything. Over the years I’ve seen the results of her sewing: quilts, cloth diapers, slings, children’s clothing, nursing dresses, and on and on it goes. Most are from patterns of her own making. I want to be like her for so many more reasons than that though!

I’ve been looking through several websites to find the kind of dress I want to make. Some are probably more complex than I have the time or ability for. What do you think I should make?
