2010 Salt Lake TJEd Forum
I’ve been inspired every time I’ve attended the TJEd Forum. I think I missed the first one, but I’ve been attending each Salt Lake TJEd Forum since Diann Jeppson began organizing them. I always took home many gems of knowledge to apply in my life and homeschool…not requirements, but Spirit inspired things “to do” for my family. It’s a non-secular event, but I’ve always felt the Spirit telling me what I should improve or implement in my family.
The TJEd Forum has grown from around a hundred people to over nine-hundred! I’m amazed at the time and effort it takes to plan such an event. Diann is passionate about getting the message out about Leadership Education to help families in their quest for an excellent liber education–for themselves and their children.
Diann and I have been friends for several years. This year she asked me to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the upcoming forum. I guess she thought my efforts at coordinating volunteers for the 2009 AYLI Knights of Freedom Summit were adequate. lol
Amazing seminars and classes will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 19-20, 2010. The Arbinger Institute is holding a 1 day parenting seminar called The Choice in TJED Family Leadership and it’s a steal of a deal at $45! A youth seminar put on by the Institute for Excellence in Writing will be held at the same time. The Leadership Summit will be held at lunchtime. This is where people come to network with other leadership education leaders for a few hours. A wonderful fundraising banquet will then be held Friday evening to raise scholarship money for GWU students. The speaker will be Brad Wilcox, and he will be speaking about Improving Literacy in Our Families. Saturday is the most attended day, with an adult and youth forum. Both have a keynote speaker and so amazing classes to inspire and help you to own control of your education–and give that power to your loved ones as well. AND, if you’re a licensed educator in Utah, the Utah State Office of Education has approved up to 7 hours for attending the forum to go toward your license renewal!
I’m so excited to help and be a part of something much bigger than myself! I’ve been working on getting volunteers for the various tasks and jobs that need to be done. I’m amazed at the manpower it takes to put on a successful event, and I’m oh, so grateful that so many people are willing to help! I am still looking for a few more adult volunteers to help. So, if you’d like to help and get a forum ticket for yourself, please contact me: volunteers[at]tjedmarketplace[dot]com. There are benefits, like earning your Saturday forum ticket for free!
Of course, if you don’t want to volunteer and just want to attend the classes (I was there once too!), you can register yourself, spouse, and/or youth for any of the events going on that weekend. My good friend, Emily, is registrar. She’s an amazing woman, and will take good care of you! You can find more information from the main page here. The main page has links to the various events that weekend. For the Saturday portion, you can see the various speakers including my mentor, Leslie Householder, author of The Jackrabbit Factor and owner of Thoughts Alive. Her passion for sharing what she knows has changed my life! I’m so excited that she’s coming…and of course for all the great classes that I’ll get to listen to when I get my downloads. lol
If you’re interested in a discount, for groups of 20 or more registering at the same time, you can get a discount using the form here.
Can’t make it, you say? Then purchase the downloads from here after the forum is over…and get 2009 downloads too! You won’t regret being able to listen to the classes again throughout the year!
I highly recommend the TJED Forum! I’ll be there running around helping to make everything run smoothly. I hope to see you there!
