Reminders

I feel so blessed to have the connections to uplifting and inspiring resources. I LOVE the Mormon Messages Channel on YouTube! There is also the Mormon Messages for Youth Channel as well. Grab a tissue, and enjoy these videos.

I needed the reminder from this video that I am a partner with God in raising His children. I love being a mother, and on the hard days I need to remember that He is with me as much then as He is when it’s easy.

What a beautiful reminder that we are daughters and sons of our Heavenly Father.

Happy Mother’s Day

When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home out of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.

Mother’s Who Know

My friend, Ronell, e-mailed me the link to this video this morning. What a beautiful way to be reminded of Sister Beck’s talk in the last General Conference as well as be inspired to do those things that I should be doing as the mother of my children and as a daughter of God. Enjoy!

Blessed is She

I loved this post by Mrs. Catherine.  She posts the Beatitudes for Homemakers.  It’s a wonderful reminder of the positive happy attitude I can take towards my duties as a wife, mother, and homemaker.  It’s worth the read.  :)

The hand that rocks the cradle

After reading another blog, one of her posts by her reminded me of the quote that President Monson mentioned in his address to the women of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Saturday’s General Women’s Conference.  Thanks, Joyous Helpmeet!

They say that man is mighty,
He governs land and sea,
He wields a mighty spectre,
O’er lesser powers that be,
But a mightier power and stronger,
Man from his throne has hurled,
For the hand that rocks the cradle,
Is the hand that rules the world.
